‘Person of interest’ Joshua Riibe gives DR cops an ultimatum as they question him again in Sudiksha Konanki’s disappearance

The “interested person” in the disappearance of Sudiksha Conanki, a student at the University of Pittsburgh, says the Dominican Republic must return him home.

Joshua Libe, 22-year-old Iowan, is “detained” and repeatedly burned by Caribbean authorities on a missing co-education, and cannot be detained without being charged, his lawyer, Beatrice Santana, said in a motion filed Monday, reported by local outlet Noticias Singh.

Authorities have not said that Libe is the suspect in Conanki's loss of failure, and the charges have not been discussed after the last time he saw her alive in Punta Cana during spring break.

However, authorities seized Libe's passport and, as the investigation enters day 11, he is drilling a hole in the Riu Hotel & Resort.

“If he wants to leave the hotel, he can't do it freely, but with the police,” Santana told ABC Eyewitness News. “His passport will be seized despite not being officially charged.

According to Noticias Sin, a hearing on the lawyer's “Habeas Corpus” movement is scheduled for Monday at 2pm.

Sudiksha Konanki has been missing for 11 days.

The surveillance cameras at the luxury resort were when Conanki, Libe and their friends flew it up in the hotel bar and later spilled onto the beach.

Conanki and Libe were left abandoned early in the morning of March 6th, and an Iowa student told police he was caught in a rough surf, but told him he was able to pull her out before he died on the beach – and woke up to find her gone.

Dr. authorities initially believed Conanki had owned, but they said they had not ruled out foul play.
More than 300 law enforcement officials are involved in the search for Conank, including the FBI, the US Department of Homeland Security and deputies from the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office, home to a missing student in Virginia.

Libe, a student at St. Cloud State University in Minnesota, was burned by senior officials early Sunday morning hours, and police recreated the incident with Libe on Monday, Dominicans reported.
