This town is saying “boo” to the goose, but the owner has no intention of doing so.
A troubled pet lover is embroiled in a battle with city officials over a goose he is forbidden to own. She claims that the goose is her emotional support.
Angel Quiner bought Blue as a pet about 14 months ago, but has been told she will have to fly from her hometown of Chariton, where town ordinances prohibit keeping the bird. According to KCCI.
But he said recovering drug addicts have to deal with a long list of emotional issues, including “PTSD, bipolar disorder, ADHD, borderline personality disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, agoraphobia, obsessive-compulsive disorder, etc.” He told the media that he was suffering from “propensity…”.
“He’s a ray of sunshine to me,” she told KCCI.
“When I wake up every morning and see his face, it makes my day a thousand times better,” she added, pausing to hold back tears, saying the goose “has helped me so much.” Ta.
She is now working to have Blue recognized as an official emotional support animal, and says it has helped him stay sober and calm his suicidal thoughts.
“Once I got Blue, he got me out of that situation,” she said.
In fact, he has so much meaning that Queener would rather fly the cabin with Blue than follow the town’s orders and kick him out.
“I’m selling the house and moving. I can’t kick him out,” she said.
However, KCCI says geese are prohibited under Chariton’s ordinance regarding livestock breeding.
According to KCCI, Chariton Town Hall said it has not made a final decision on Mr Quiner’s continued request to keep the blue.
City officials did not immediately respond to The Post’s request for comment.
