The four-time Manager of the Year Back Shorterter is the latest to consider whether Pete Rose should create a baseball hall of fame.

Showalter, 68, discussed the nuances of Rose's recent appearance at Outkick's.”With Dan Dakic @I don't.

“As you know, I've seen the reason [Rose should get in]. This has many by-products. “He bets on his team and it's not as simple as going, as we're going to allow him. I got it,” Showalter said.

“But I understand why. If you're betting on a game that night, Dan, Dan, I might put too many feet forward to win that game and not worry too much about tomorrow's game. Do you know where I'm going?

With the money of the game, Showalter implied that he may be more likely to use his top bailiffs at his disposal, as the game he has money is his top priority over the future of the team.

Otherwise, using a top relief bar in situations where you can't win a bet, could prevent your team's next game from winning the team's next game.

But despite betting on your team to change administrative decisions and potentially negatively impacting the team, Showalter spoke about how difficult it is to believe Rose is already in the Hall of Fame.

“At what point, 'OK, forgive me, let's move on.' It's hard to believe our Hall of Fame is not in Pete. I think he's serving a sufficient sentence.

Rose was banned for life by MLB in 1989 for gambling.

If his statistics on the field break the golden rules of sports, Rose will definitely be in the Baseball Hall of Fame.

Rose is MLB's hit king with 4,256 career hits. He was the National League MVP in 1974, winning 17 All-Stars, three World Series champions and three batting titles.

Rose applied for re-institute in 2020 and 2022. In particular, legalized sports betting was made nationwide. However, MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred denied both requests and pointed to the Veterans Committee for Hall of Fame debates over Rose. Manfred also shot down speculation about Rose's return to work in 2023, as the league had partnered with Sportsbook.

Manfred is reportedly considering petitions from Rose's family to be removed from the baseball ineligible list after death. This could open the door for Rose to create a Hall of Fame and make his conclusions about his ensnare true.

He is not inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame, but in 2016 the Reds were inducted into his own Hall of Fame and retired from No. 14.
