Peyton, Eli Manning drop star-studded ‘ManningCast’ musical

Peyton Manning and Eli Manning went all out to promote the upcoming season of “ManningCast.”

This season, in their fourth, the brothers will co-host “Monday Night Football,” which is simulcast on ESPN2.

Payton's production company, Omaha Productions, has released a trailer for the upcoming musical-inspired season.

The trailer begins with Peyton and Eli talking to their father, Archie, asking him for ideas for a show.

“Oh, I have an idea,” Archie said. “Tony.”

As Payton imagines winning the Tony Award, viewers are drawn into a musical that features cameos from Disney CEO Bob Iger, Scott Van Pelt, Robin Roberts, Jimmy Kimmel, Mina Kimes, Adam Schefter, Kevin Hart, Roger Goodell, Livi Dunn, Jason Kelcy, Andy Reid, Pete Davidson, Jim Harbaugh, Mike McDaniel, Sean McVay, Brian Daboll, Chad Ochocinco, Baker Mayfield, Snoop Dogg and Ray Lewis.

And lo and behold, they did it!

“The Manningcast” will kick off with simulcast of the Jets-49ers on Monday, with other games to come include Bills-Jets in Week 6, a doubleheader of Ravens-Buccaneers and Chargers-Cardinals in Week 7, Giants-Steelers in Week 8, Buccaneers-Chiefs in Week 9 and the Harbaugh family feud featuring the Ravens-Chargers in Week 12.

In a new development, legendary former Patriots head coach Bill Belichick will appear on the show every week this season.

“I don't think people necessarily listen to Bill Belichick talk about defense or head coaching decisions or anything like that. Eli and I have had some rehearsals with him.” “I think it's a big part of what we're doing,” Payton said in an interview with Stephen A. Smith last month.“He has so much knowledge and he's always shared it with the team, but he's never shared it with the general public. I think he'll do that this year. Eli and I feel like it's been very insightful.”

“I think the fans think so too, so he'll be there.”

Given the success of “ManningCast” over the past few years, ESPN has expanded the concept to other sports.
