Considering how popular Kevin Kisner is among players, fans, and network executives, it's no surprise that Keegan Bradley selected him for this year's Ryder Cup leadership group.
Kisner will be the third co-captain announced as Bradley's assistant, joining 2012 U.S. Open champion Webb Simpson and nine-time PGA Tour champion Brandt Snedeker. Kisner recently served as co-captain at this year's Presidents Cup, receiving rave reviews from everyone involved. He was also in the news after America won 10 straight games. He took off his shirt in the media center to pay his debt to Max Homa, who holed out in Sunday Singles. These two fan favorites placed a bet during the Solheim Cup.
“I am extremely grateful to Mr. Keegan for the opportunity to coach Team USA in the 2025 Ryder Cup,” Kisner said in a statement.
“I love match play and the Ryder Cup is one of the greatest events in sports. I can't wait to be a part of it and join Keegan, Webb, Brunt and our team in September. I look forward to doing all I can to support this talented team.”
Kisner has never played in a Ryder Cup or held a coaching role. However, he does have experience playing in the Presidents Cup, posting a 2-2-3 overall record in two appearances in 2017 and 2022.
It's also worth noting that NBC Sports has hired Kisner as a full-time lead analyst for the 2025 season. As official vice-captain, his insight into how the season will unfold will be even more entertaining.
