This will allow Torrey Pines to offer two tournaments over the course of four weeks.
The tour said its $20 million signature event hosted by Tiger Woods will return to Riviera Country Club next year.
The Riviera was undamaged, but it is in the Pacific Palisades community, which had been ravaged by a fire that had killed 28 people and destroyed more than 14,000 structures in Los Angeles since January 7.

“This wasn't a bidding process. It wasn't about getting something. It was about being selected to help,” Gorsich said. “Here in San Diego, we compete a lot with LA on the field and consider them our rivals, but we're all social together.
“This is an opportunity for San Diego to come together and do something with our brothers and sisters in LA. I really, really feel like that's a part of it,” he said. “It gives them the ability to host their events, have a sense of their community, continue to do what they need (together) and rise above challenges, and that we are here for them. That's what we're able to do to be able to provide that, and that's what's really exciting for us in that regard.”
Woods has not indicated whether he will perform.
The Genesis Invitational is the only non-debate he has played since his leg was badly injured in a February 2021 car accident in LA.
