Pharrell Williams gave his two cents on politics – Shut up

American singer, songwriter and producer Pharrell Williams will not join Taylor Swift and the many other celebrities endorsing presidential candidates this election cycle.

In fact, he believes celebrities should refrain from getting involved in politics altogether.

“I don't get involved in politics,” the “Happy” singer told The Hollywood Reporter , “In fact, it annoys me sometimes when I see celebrities trying to talk about politics. [who to vote for].”

“Shut up. No one is listening,” Williams said of celebrities who use their positions to influence politics.

Columnist Karol Markovits praised Williams for keeping her political views private, saying it's better for celebrities to stay out of politics.

Dave Rubin believes Williams is silent on political issues because he is secretly a conservative.

“Adam Carolla told me years ago that if you don't know what celebrities are thinking, they're conservatives,” he says.

“Pharrell is my new favorite person,” Dr. Drew Pinsky added. “I'm glad he said that.”
