Viewers of “Unshamed” are left wondering where it's going. phil robertson has been. Their stalwart leader suddenly disappeared from the podcast seemingly overnight.
The Robertson brothers had been telling fans that their father was unwell, but it wasn't until recently that they shared what was really going on.
Phil “has some type of blood disease that causes all kinds of problems” and is in the “early stages of Alzheimer's disease.” Jace revealed in “I'm not ashamed” episode Over the weekend.
Since this sad revelation, thousands of fans across the country have sent messages of prayers and well wishes. Many people say they learned more about Jesus and the Bible from Phil Robertson than they learned in years of attending church. Some cited Phil as the reason they returned to the faith.
“The outpouring of love, support, and prayers was just…almost overwhelming for me,” Al says.
“Once my phone started ringing, it hardly stopped for the past 72 hours,” Jace adds.
Phil is also certainly grateful for the love and support he has received.
“Although my father is famously aloof from technology, in his words, “computer land'' is full of love and gratitude for everything he has given us in life. I love hearing that there are people who are representing,” Al says.
These prayers seem to have a huge impact on Phil's mental as well as physical health.
“He took some of the pain away, and I started to think that was the prayer of millions of people over the last four days,” Jack Dasher said.
Although the brethren know that decline is inevitable, they want everyone to remember what is outlined in 2 Timothy 4:7-8.
“I fought the good fight, I finished the race, I kept the faith. Now the crown of righteousness is prepared for me, and on that day the Lord, the righteous judge, will give to me, and not only me, He will bestow it upon all who have been waiting for His appearing,” Al reads.
One thing is for sure: Phil Robertson fought the good fight and stuck to his guns.
The Robertson family wants us to do the same as Phil continues his fight.
