A teenage boy was killed and four others injured in a shooting at a Philadelphia bus stop, police said Monday.

According to Philadelphia police, the shooting happened around 3:45 p.m. as a group of 15 to 20 people were riding a bus at North Broad Street and West Godfrey Avenue when two people walked up to them. A shot was fired.

Philadelphia Police Chief Kevin Bethel announced that five people were shot, including an unidentified 17-year-old who died. He was taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Bethel said at the scene: “There seems to be no doubt that this person, our deceased, was targeted.”

Police said two women on the bus were shot. A 49-year-old woman was hit in her right arm and a 71-year-old woman was shot in the head. Both were listed in stable condition.

Other victims included a 15-year-old boy who suffered a graze wound to his right shoulder as he tried to flee the chaotic scene.

As police investigated, they discovered another boy, also 15, arrived at Einstein Medical Center with a gunshot wound to the buttocks.
