Phillies superstar Bryce Harper expressed his gratitude to Philadelphia fans multiple times during his stay in the City of Brotherly Love.
He recently decided to show his fans how much he cares by creating what will be an unforgettable moment for two New Jersey high school students.
A viral video shows Harper reaching out to Jake Portello after the high schooler asks the MLB slugger for a special assist.

Portela Speaking on “Fantastic Sports Show” He lives next door to the Harper family, but he was surprised when the first baseman opened the door.
“I knocked on his door. He was nice at first, but then he said, ‘Can you give me your email address so we can make plans?’ and when I was leaving, he said, ‘Right now. Why don’t you give it a try?” Jake said. “I [Harper] The first step is to open the door. ”

Harper and Portella then visited another home where Haddonfield Memorial High School students lived, and the dream proposal came true.

“Oh my god, Bryce Harper is at the door,” said Portella’s classmate Julia. “I’m going to cry.”
“Hey Julia,” said Harper, standing in the doorway, “Jake wants to ask you to prom so I thought I’d help him out and see if you wanted to go to prom with him. So, are you going to prom with him?”

Julia immediately answered, “Yes!” And she started hugging the baseball star.
“Oh my god, you’re the GOAT,” she declared, hugging her future prom date. Julia’s father was nearby and shook Harper’s hand.

The Phillies are one of the most successful teams in MLB, winning eight of their last 10 games. Philadelphia enters Tuesday’s game against the defending World Series champions, the Texas Rangers, with a league-leading 34 wins.
