Phoenix firefighter Gregory Knauss allegedly caused $25K in damage to home after resident threatened to expose his affair

A Phoenix firefighter was arrested on suspicion of causing more than $25,000 in damage to a townhome after the townhouse resident threatened to cheat on his wife.

According to FOX 10 Phoenix, Peoria police said Gregory Knauss planned to sabotage the townhome’s plumbing and HVAC system as a revenge plan.

Detectives say a witness noticed Knauss standing on the roof of a townhome in Peoria, Arizona, on January 23.

Knauss allegedly used spray foam to clog the townhome’s pipes and roof, destroying the air conditioning unit. He is also suspected of punching a hole in the roof.

Detectives said Knauss had been involved in a dispute with a townhome resident over his romantic relationship with the resident’s girlfriend.
