Phoenix Open: Woman injured, falls from TPC Scottsdale stands at 16th ‘Party Hole’

A woman suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries after falling from the stands during Friday’s round of the WM Phoenix Open in the “Party Hall” on the 16th at TPC Scottsdale.

unknown If a woman falls from the general admission stands that line the left side of the fairway or from the luxury suites above, ESPN reports. In any case, because of her fall, police emptied that section of the bleachers during the investigation. Once she was taken to a local medical center, she eventually let the fan back into the section.

The Thunderbirds, a civic organization organizing the event, issued a statement saying police and first responders “responded quickly to the scene, provided the injured fan with immediate medical treatment, and then safely transported him to a local medical center for further testing.” He was transported,” he said.

It is unclear whether the woman had been drinking before the fall, the report said.

“The WM Phoenix Open will work closely with local law enforcement, fire, medical and medical authorities, and the PGA Tour to strategically deploy emergency forces throughout the tournament venue to quickly address health and safety situations. ” said in a statement. “We respect your medical privacy and will provide additional details if necessary.”

The par 3 16th hole has best show on the lawn, party hall, stadium and Collegium Hall. This is the highlight of the WM Phoenix Open. This hall is where fans heckle and cheer loudly to support their favorite players. We also boo when a professional golfer doesn’t hit a great shot.

More than 16,000 fans are known to arrive before dawn each day to line up for a spot and race to the hole.

However, things got a little louder on Saturday and the venue was overcrowded, with fans with tickets being refused entry and alcohol sales having to be discontinued.

The People’s Open may have finally gone one step too far in 2024.
