Missing Maryland Father in Cleveland

A 24-year-old father from Maryland has gone missing in Cleveland after a visit to watch his favorite football team, the Pittsburgh Steelers, play against the Browns. His family is now in urgent search of him.

Phoenix Phillips was last spotted around 6 a.m. on Friday in downtown Cleveland, according to a missing-person report from the Cleveland Division of Police.

Authorities have indicated that Phillips may be on foot and have described his disappearance as concerning.

Standing at 6 feet, 1 inch tall and weighing approximately 170 pounds, he has blue eyes. At the time he went missing, he was wearing a gray hoodie, beige pants, and white sneakers.

Phillips, who is a father to a two-year-old son, had traveled to Cleveland with a friend specifically for the Steelers-Browns game. Unfortunately, according to Cleveland Missing co-founder Sylvia Colon, the two became separated before his disappearance.

Sergeant Freddy Diaz from the Cleveland police mentioned, “He’s from out of state, so he was in town visiting and at some point kind of got separated from the person he was with. We’re still trying to figure out what happened after that.”

Investigators are currently scouring the area where Phillips was last seen, looking for surveillance footage and following up on tips that might help locate him.

Members of Phillips’ family have traveled to Cleveland to aid in the search efforts. Colon planned to meet with them to provide support and help coordinate with law enforcement during this difficult time.

The organization Cleveland Missing is assisting by providing flyers for the family to distribute in the area and is facilitating communication with law enforcement to ensure the family gets the necessary help.

If anyone has any information regarding Phillips’ whereabouts, they are urged to contact the Cleveland police.
