“The Pioneer Woman,” Ree Drummond’s foster son, Jamar Goff, was taken into custody for allegedly biting a police officer just months before his arrest on September 15.
According to reports, Goff, who is 23 years old, was arrested in May 2025 for allegedly biting a detention officer’s hand.
Documents from the court revealed that Goff listed a phone number associated with Drummond as his family contact, identifying her as his “foster parent.”
At that time, Goff was reportedly homeless and employed at a McDonald’s.
Details regarding the events surrounding Goff’s arrest last year are still unclear.
There hasn’t been any response from Drummond’s representative regarding this situation.
In his latest legal incident, Goff was arrested on September 15 for allegedly assaulting a police officer at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He also faced charges for possessing 1.8 grams of methamphetamine.
In addition to the assault charge, he was accused of trying to flee from law enforcement and possessing drug paraphernalia, as a glass pipe was recovered during the encounter.
When confronted by the police, Goff was reportedly shirtless and asleep near a campus fountain. Allegedly, he mentioned he was waiting to sell “ice,” a term commonly used for meth.
Initially, he wasn’t taken into custody until officers recognized there was an outstanding warrant for his arrest.
As police attempted to apprehend him and take him to a local hospital, Goff allegedly ran away, hitting one of the officers in the process.
Following this, Goff was booked at the Jefferson County Jail, where his bail has been set at $37,000.
Drummond, who fostered Goff along with her husband Ladd in 2018, has not publicly commented on his ongoing legal issues. The Food Network personality has four other children: Alex, Paige, Bryce, and Todd.
