Pizza Hut manager killed by coworker over $7,000 inheritance: police

A Pizza Hut employee allegedly killed a manager in the restaurant’s kitchen earlier this month over a $7,000 inheritance check that the victim cashed earlier this week, according to authorities in Wisconsin.

Kavon Ingram is accused of killing 55-year-old Alex Stengel on February 5, after his body was dumped in a dumpster outside a Pizza Hut in early February. the police said.

South Milwaukee police reportedly received a report of a body in the dumpster, and officers followed a trail of blood that led to the kitchen, the criminal complaint states.


Kavon Ingram, 31, was charged with first-degree murder.

His wallet, keys and cell phone were all gone, the Journal Sentinel reported.

Ingram, 31, of Milwaukee, was arrested around 10:30 a.m. on Feb. 5 after authorities said he was seen on surveillance footage dragging a trash can from a fast-food restaurant to a dumpster, detectives said. the complaint alleges.

The newspaper said Ingram tried to cover his tracks by appearing in court after Stengel allegedly dragged the body outside and sent text messages from his cellphone to the district manager.

Ingram is serving a life sentence for first-degree murder. The suspect also faces charges including being a party to a crime and concealing a corpse, armed robbery and possession of a firearm by a felon, according to the report.
