Platner Alleged to Have Broken into Woman's Home and Sexually Assaulted Her

Allegations Against Maine Senate Candidate Graham Platner

Recent reports indicate that Graham Platner, a Democratic candidate for the Senate in Maine, faces serious accusations of breaking into a woman’s home and sexually assaulting her.

Jenny Racicot, 41, mentioned to a media outlet that she and Platner had an “on-and-off relationship.” However, in 2021, Racicot claims Platner entered her rural Maine home uninvited while intoxicated. She alleged that he “forced himself on her” despite her repeated protests for him to stop.

Racicot described the incident, stating, “I remember him grabbing my pelvis and coming at me very forcefully. I remember the moment I thought, ‘This isn’t my choice anymore.'”

Additional information came to light from Breitbart News, which highlighted that Racicot had spoken to several women regarding Platner, including Lindsay Fifield. Fifield recounted instances where she felt Platner may have been rough, sharing an experience where he twisted her arm and shoved her into a bedroom during an argument, although she noted he never physically hit her.

According to Racicot, Platner showed up at her home inebriated after she explicitly asked him not to come over. She characterized his actions as “reckless” and “disturbing.”

In response to the allegations, Platner stated in a video, “Any accusation of non-consensual conduct is completely false.” He expressed a desire to confront what he described as “troubling and seriously false allegations” against him.

Reporting on the situation, Ryan Grimm noted that Platner’s campaign had canceled several events, and there are rumors of potentially damaging allegations becoming public soon.

Additionally, another report mentioned a “well-informed source” suggesting that Platner might withdraw from the Senate race in Maine. The source also pointed out that he had not yet revealed his fundraising numbers for the second quarter, implying his performance might not meet expectations.
