Pod Save America host Jon Favreau criticizes Meta CEO Mark Zuckeberg over donations 1 million dollars Ahead of President-elect Trump's inauguration on Friday.
“For all the values he professes that Facebook and his company have, and all this crap, there are few people more full of themselves than Mark Zuckerberg,” Favreau posted. said in the clip. ×.
“Donald Trump attempted a coup. He incited a violent insurrection.”
The podcaster said he didn't mind Mr. Zuckerberg having dinner with the president-elect, but thought the large donation was ridiculous.
“I couldn't have been more upset about the fact that Zuckerberg sat down and had dinner with Mr. Trump. It was like, okay, do you want to have dinner? He's the president of the United States. You're running one of the biggest companies in the world,'' Favreau reasoned.
“Well, fine, peace out, whatever. Donating $1 million to the inauguration when Meta hasn't donated to any other inauguration? Like you're in the Trump business now?” You're just giving him money.”
He called the act “disgusting.”
“It's not just about not saying mean things about him or not saying nice things about him,” Favreau added.
“Are you giving him money? A million dollars. It's disgusting.”
But Zuckerberg isn't the only executive to be friends with President Trump. Amazon owner Jeff Bezos will donate the same amount in his company's name to President Trump's inauguration, and OpenAI CEO Sam Altman also plans to make a personal donation.
President Trump's inauguration will take place on January 20, 2025.
