Intense police body camera video shows the moment a Tennessee police officer incapacitates a knife-wielding man who violently charges at officers. The man involved in a fatal police shooting reportedly attempted to rob an armored truck and a deli.

The Murfreesboro Police Department has released body camera footage of an officer fatally shooting a man accused of two attempted robberies.

The suspect allegedly tried to rob the employee, but fled when the employee in the armored truck fired a gun. The man reportedly fled to a nearby restaurant.

Heart-pounding body camera video shows officers rushing into the deli and finding the suspect behind the counter. When the officer confronted the man, he charged at him, raising a knife in each hand.

The policeman frantically orders the man with the knife, “Get down! Get down now!”

Despite the officer’s commands, the man continued to sprint toward the officer.

In body camera video, officers can be heard firing three or four shots.

Officers requested assistance for the injured suspect.

The man was lying on the floor with two knives nearby.

The police officer told the suspect not to move.

The suspect was taken to a local hospital. The 44-year-old man later died from his injuries.

The police officer, armored truck worker and six deli employees were not injured, Flowers said.

The officer involved in the shooting, five-year veteran Adam Claiborne, has been placed on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation into the fatal shooting.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is conducting an independent investigation into the police shooting.
