A police pursuit temporarily closed the George Washington Bridge Tuesday, police said.
According to the NYPD, a pursuit began on the Upper West Side shortly after 4 p.m. when multiple people reported gunshots near 79th Street and Henry Hudson Parkway.
Police located and pursued a vehicle believed to have been involved in the shooting.
Police closed “several roadways” during the chase, including the George Washington Bridge, an NYPD spokesperson said.
It’s unclear how long the bridge was closed.
Police said they were still searching for the driver of the car.
No one was injured in the initial shots.
