Troy police are actively seeking hospital employees accused of shooting and killing a colleague in the parking lot at Corewell Health Beaumont Troy Hospital in Michigan on Thursday morning.
Ben Hancock at Troy Police Station I said KSBY News says the suspect fired five shots at a 25-year-old male hospital employee in the parking lot and hit him twice in the arm. The victim is in a stable state. The suspect remains unidentified and is not in custody. According to KSBY News, Troy police said the situation is in quarantine and the suspect appears to be loosened but is not considered to be in the hospital. Troy is about 20 miles north of Detroit.

Agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, cigarettes, firearms and explosives from the Detroit Bureau are also responding to the incident.
Nearby residents were alerted that there was an active shooter near the hospital. Local residents were encouraged to avoid the area and shelter.

“We are working with local law enforcement,” Corewell Health said in a statement, according to KSBY News. “Due to the abundant attention, the hospital is locked down. One victim is in the emergency department for treatment. No scheduled patients should come to the hospital at this time.
