Police in San Francisco deploy drones to capture individuals suspected of stealing Pokémon cards.

In San Francisco, several individuals suspected of stealing Pokémon cards have been apprehended, with some dramatic footage released by the police. A drone was utilized to capture video during the arrest process.

On Thursday, the San Francisco Police Department announced the arrest of teenagers who were believed to have stolen a man’s collection of Pokémon cards. The suspects were caught trying to sell the valuable cards to another boy they found on an online marketplace.

Authorities were able to trace one of the teenage suspects thanks to automatic license plate reading technology.

A drone was dispatched to track the suspect’s vehicle after they had visited a pawn shop and a jewelry store.

According to the police, the suspects were recognized from surveillance video as individuals involved in the robbery.

Plainclothes officers swiftly approached the suspects as they left a building, catching them off guard.

Details indicate that the initial robbery took place on May 28 at an intersection when the trade of a card collection unexpectedly turned violent.

Police footage revealed a boy approaching the victim, inspecting the card collection before the victim was pepper-sprayed and robbed.

After committing the robbery, the suspect fled to a getaway vehicle where two accomplices were waiting.

Later investigations revealed that similar thefts were happening in South San Francisco, including a robbery that involved jewelry stolen through an online sale.

A search warrant executed at one of the suspect’s residences yielded additional evidence associated with the robbery.

The teenagers now face charges of robbery and conspiracy.

This incident follows reports of an audacious group of robbers in the Bay Area, who recently managed to steal thousands of dollars’ worth of Pokémon trading cards in under a minute.

According to Brentwood police, a theft occurred Saturday night at Card Lab, where three individuals broke in and made off with $15,000 worth of trading cards.

Surveillance footage from the store showed the trio jumping the counter and smashing through a display case, completing the heist in just 39 seconds before fleeing the scene.

Law enforcement is still working to locate these individuals and is seeking assistance from the public.
