Police Killed Armed- Suspected Pedophile When He Showed Up To Meet Underage Girls

Seattle police released body camera footage of Wednesday’s shooting that left a 67-year-old suspected pedophile dead late Friday night.

A 67-year-old man arrived at a hotel in Tukwila, Wash., on Wednesday believing he was meeting two girls, ages 7 and 11, for sexual relations. according to Go to King TV.police said in the video statement Accompanying the released footage, it has been revealed that the attempted arrest of the unidentified suspect was an operation carried out by a special unit dealing with internet crimes against children. “Wednesday, the Washington State Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force conducted an operation to apprehend a suspected child predator,” said Seattle Police Chief Adrian Diaz. video A statement released on YouTube on Friday. “The Seattle Police Department is the lead agency for this task force.”

“Officers from our community response group arrived to arrest a 67-year-old white man when he thought he was meeting two girls, ages 7 and 11. “I’ve been waiting,” Diaz continued. “For our nation’s police officers, these situations are dangerous, unpredictable, and can escalate quickly.”

The video begins with a knock on the door, then three police officers open to greet the suspected pedophile, who begins drawing his gun when he sees the officers. One of the officers grabbed a gun and two other officers opened fire until a gunshot was heard and the suspect fell to the ground.

The video showed body camera footage of all three officers involved in the incident. The second officer’s body camera footage showed the officer firing from a pistol while taking cover, while the third officer’s body camera footage showed the officer suspecting a pedophile. He was seen emptying the magazine and reloading a Glock pistol at the suspect.

One police officer was slightly injured in the gunfight, King report.

Seattle Police Department did not immediately respond to a request for comment from the Daily Caller News Foundation.
