Police in Hillsborough County, Florida, have issued an arrest warrant for Detroit Loins player Cameron Sutton on suspicion of domestic assault by strangulation, according to reports.
According to a Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office report, at approximately 4:52 a.m. on March 7, a woman reported that Sutton had attacked her. TMZ Sports report.
During the 911 call, the woman requested police presence and stated that her life was in danger.
When police arrived, Sutton was no longer at the location.
Hillsborough sheriff’s officials added that they searched Sutton at his home in Pinellas County and checked with friends and acquaintances in the Tampa area, but have not yet been able to locate him.

“We have attempted to contact (Sutton),” said Deputy Chief Communications Officer Phil Martello. Said of detroit news. “We called him and there was no response. He has been deceiving us. Our agents have exhausted all leads here. He has not received one response from us. He has a car and a house in a neighboring county, but has never been there and we were unable to get him. So, again, we were unable to contact him. Apparently he turned off his phone or got rid of it or something because he didn’t have it.”
The department posted a notice on social media Wednesday asking for the public’s help in locating the player.

The Lions released a statement saying: “This morning we became aware of the ongoing legal situation involving Cam Sutton. We will continue to monitor the situation and will not be commenting further at this time.”
Sutton joined the NFL in 2017 and began his career with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He joined the Lions in 2023 on a three-year, $33 million contract. He started 17 games last year and had one interception and 65 total tackles.
