Heart-pounding footage shows authorities with rifles swooping on a sprawling mansion north of Atlanta and evicting squatters who may have been linked to the Sovereign People's Movement.

The Fulton County Sheriff's Department raided a 15,000-square-foot gated home after receiving a tip that “squatters” were living nearby.

The ministry said it took additional precautions after authorities received indications that the squatters may identify with sovereign citizens of the anti-government movement.

During the investigation, authorities used a drone to survey the large property and identify the tenants, sheriff's officials said.

Illegal occupation is an ongoing problem in the Peach State, particularly in Atlanta.

Further information about authorities' search of the property was not immediately available.
