Police Say They Found Body Of Missing Woman In Boyfriend’s Fridge: REPORT

The body of a Texas woman missing for more than a year was found in her boyfriend’s refrigerator, police said Sunday.

The suspect, Chad Stevens, 41, has been charged with tampering with evidence in connection with Heather Schwab’s death. statement According to the McKinney Police Department. Research into this issue is still in its early stages.

Schwab, 35, was last seen alive in June 2022 and was reported missing by his mother, Tamra. During a search of Stevens’ property on Nov. 12, authorities said they found Schwab’s body “wrapped in a large amount of plastic wrap” inside the refrigerator, NBC News. report. The body was later identified by the Collin County Coroner’s Office.

Stevens was arrested as a result of a search warrant executed at his home on November 12th. His arrest affidavit states that the kitchen where the refrigerator was found was “suspiciously closed and hidden from the rest of the residence by a sheet of rock,” the newspaper noted.

According to NBC News, Stevens allegedly admitted to police that Schwab died in her home on July 26, 2022, and that she hid his body in the refrigerator. The paper said Schwab’s mother had expressed her concerns for her daughter’s safety, citing her past incidents of abuse and threats from her boyfriend.

Stevens is currently being held in the Collin County Jail with bail set at $150,000. The investigation is continuing and detectives are reportedly considering August 2022 as a possible date for the incident, according to NBC News.
