Chicago Police Chief John Hine said officers are trying to identify the “individual” behind a shooting that left three people dead and five injured at a Chicago lawn home Monday afternoon. According to CBS News.
“There are eight victims…we are going to solve this crime and find the perpetrator of this heinous, horrific incident,” Hayne said.
wagon tv noticed Police were called to the scene at 2pm on Monday. Investigators suggested to WGN-TV that there appeared to be a “social gathering” at the home before the shooting began.
A neighbor near the home said, “There had been a party prior to the shooting, and loud parties and gatherings had been regularly held at this home over the past few months.”
The victims of the shooting were four men and four women, and three of the men died from their injuries.
Breitbart News reported that by Saturday afternoon over Thanksgiving weekend, 16 people had been shot, two of them fatally.
To date in 2024, more than 515 people have died in the Windy City.
