Legal Troubles for Cher’s Son
Elijah Allman, the son of Cher, is reportedly in hot water after being arrested twice in just a few days in New Hampshire.
The 49-year-old was taken into custody on February 27 after allegedly acting aggressively while attempting to gain entry into a well-known prep school in Concord, as reported by The Associated Press. Just days later, on March 1, he was arrested again for supposedly breaking into a home in New Hampshire. Superintendent Jonathan Banville has confirmed that Allman is currently in the Rockingham County Department of Corrections. Interestingly, a court hearing that was set for March 11 has been called off.
On Wednesday morning, Allman enlisted the help of attorney Sarah Landres for his legal representation.
He faces multiple charges, including two counts of criminal mischief, one count of burglary, and a breach of bail related to the alleged break-in on March 1.
According to officials at St. Paul’s School, Allman pretended to be a prospective student’s parent to gain access. Reports suggest he entered the dining area while students were leaving, leading to complaints about his disruptive behavior.
Overall, this incident has resulted in four misdemeanor charges against him. The police have filed two counts of simple assault, along with criminal trespass and criminal threatening. Additionally, he’s facing a violation of disorderly conduct, which, while illegal, doesn’t carry stiff criminal penalties. He was arrested but later released on bail.
In December 2023, Cher sought temporary conservatorship for her son, citing his mental health challenges and addiction issues that she claimed left him unable to manage his finances and made him vulnerable. However, a judge in Los Angeles, Jessica Uzcategui, reportedly denied her request.
