Missing Person Investigation: Nancy Guthrie

Authorities suspect that Nancy Guthrie, the 84-year-old mother of Savannah Guthrie, was taken from her home in Arizona during the night, with blood stains discovered at the scene.

Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos indicated that Nancy was likely forcibly removed from her bed. The police have reported signs of forced entry in her home, although they haven’t confirmed whose blood was found. She has been reported missing.

This situation is becoming increasingly urgent since Nancy requires essential daily medication.

No suspect details have been released by the police.

Nancy Guthrie was reported missing on Sunday afternoon, having last been seen Saturday night after returning from dinner. Savannah’s sister, Annie, who saw her last, noted there were no concerns regarding Nancy’s behavior, according to sources.

Savannah expressed gratitude for the support from the public, stating, “On behalf of my family, I would like to thank everyone for their thoughts, prayers, and messages of support. Right now, our focus is on the safe return of our beloved mother.”

In a plea for information, Sheriff Nanos asked, “Just call me. Release her. Just call me. The family will say, no questions asked.” He emphasized the need for a safe resolution, stating, “We don’t need a worse, more tragic ending.”
