Breitbart News Hosts Policy Event with Energy Secretary Chris Wright
Breitbart News is organizing an event featuring Energy Secretary Chris Wright as the U.S. pursues a goal of achieving energy dominance during the Trump administration. This discussion, set for Tuesday, June 24, in Washington, D.C., will be moderated by Matthew Boyle, Breitbart News’ Washington Director. The event begins at 9:30 AM Eastern Time and is a collaboration with CGCN and the Alfa Institute.
In a statement previewing the event, Boyle remarked, “Energy Secretary Chris Wright, who is President Trump’s primary adviser on energy policy, is ideally positioned to explain how the President’s comprehensive initiatives will promote additional independence and growth in American energy.” He added that past policy events have highlighted the President’s determination to “drill, baby, train” and tap into the vast natural resources of the U.S.
Mike Catanzaro, CEO of CGCN, noted that Secretary Wright has been an effective leader in advancing the President’s energy agenda. “Continuing his record as a private sector advocate for energy, Secretary Chris Wright remains a vital force in promoting the goals of energy domination,” Catanzaro stated.
Matt Sparks, co-founder of the Alfa Institute, expressed honors in hosting Secretary Wright for a relevant discussion on energy innovation, national competitiveness, and technology policy. He added that as the U.S. adapts to the rapidly evolving global energy environment, Wright’s leadership offers invaluable insights into how emerging technologies can benefit the nation.
The event is driven by the need to ensure that the so-called “big and beautiful bills” not only move through Congress effectively, but also that the energy sector works to minimize waste and inefficiencies. For instance, Wright mentioned recently his commitment to “reduce costs and enhance quality of life” for Americans.
In recent weeks, Wright announced that the Department of Energy had saved taxpayers more than $3 billion and cancelled 24 awards from the Clean Energy Demonstration Agency (OCED).
This marks the third policy event hosted by Breitbart News, following a successful discussion with Secretary Brook Rollins in May and an earlier event with Interior Secretary Doug Burgham in March.
