Democrats Split Over Shutdown Bill

Grusenkamp Perez stated, “We can’t let Congress members become so fixated on winning partisan battles that they neglect their responsibilities to tackle the pressing issues our country faces.” In a subsequent message on social media, she added, “None of my friends relying on SNAP would want to trade their meals for a vague political win, and I’m relieved this difficult period is now behind us.”
