Kerrville Expresses Concern Over Trump and 2026 Elections
Democratic strategist James Kerrville recently shared his worries regarding President Donald Trump’s potential interference in the upcoming 2026 midterm elections. He spoke about this during an interview, emphasizing a palpable sense of anxiety about the situation.
Kerrville, while speaking with Jim Acosta, underlined his belief that Trump might manipulate the vote next year. When pressed by Acosta about whether he thinks Trump will “tamper” with the midterms, Kerrville replied straightforwardly, “In short words, yes. In long words, very.”
He also made a bold claim suggesting that Jewish donors are at risk of abandoning the Democratic Party for the Republican side.
Looking ahead, Kerrville speculated that if Trump starts to notice significant election results unfolding within the next year, he could become increasingly anxious about potential losses for Republicans in Congress. “And I think he’ll see writing on the Virginia wall,” he remarked.
“This is what I think will happen,” he added, hinting that if Trump observes a shift in voter sentiment, he might need to adjust his approach. Kerrville recounted a scenario where Trump recognizes a need for change as the election approaches.
Kerrville also elaborated on his general unease about Trump, asserting that many share these sentiments. “There are all kinds of reasons why you’re scared,” he expressed, acknowledging that fear about Trump’s actions is justified.
Acosta chimed in with concerns over Trump potentially stealing another election, referencing past attempts. In response, the White House countered that Trump has done more to ensure election integrity than any modern president, dismissing claims of voter fraud from Democrats while suggesting they are already preparing for future defeats.
Interestingly, some of Kerrville’s previous predictions about Trump have not panned out. For instance, he forewarned that Kamala Harris would win the presidency ahead of the 2024 election. Back in March, he mentioned that Trump’s presidency had seemingly crumbled just months into his second term.
