A recent poll reportedly found that a majority of registered voters believe that Jesus Christ physically rose from the dead.
The news came as Easter approached.
The Daily Signal, citing a Scott Rasmussen National Poll, said: report On Thursday, nearly 70% of registered voters said they believed in the physical resurrection of Jesus, and more than 70% said they would celebrate Easter on Sunday.
The survey was conducted among 1,000 registered voters on March 20 and 21, the paper said.
The article also stated:
Respondents were asked whether a series of statements were true or false. They were asked to evaluate whether “the person known to history as Jesus Christ actually existed and walked the earth.”
By a margin of 83% to 5%, voters said they believed Jesus Christ actually existed and walked the earth.
Rasmussen said the survey had a margin of error of plus or minus 3.1 percentage points.
Meanwhile, according to a Breitbart News article published on March 19, a Pew Research Center report found that religion’s role in public life is diminishing, and that religion is becoming more and more negative for people across the country. The number of Americans who say they believe this is the highest on record.
Thomas D. Williams of Breitbart News said, “Surveys show that 57 percent of Americans believe religion plays a positive role in public life, but many have negative views about the role of religion.” Only 19 percent do so.”
According to Breitbart News, a 2023 WSJ/NORC poll found that the happiest people living in the United States place more importance on their religious beliefs than those who are unhappier in life.
The highest correlation for those who say they are “very happy” is belief in God, with 68% of this group declaring that belief in God is “very important” to them. In contrast, among those who were less happy, less than half (42%) said belief in God was very important to them.
Along with their faith in God, “very happy” people overwhelmingly value strong relationships, with some 67% saying they are not married, regardless of their marital status, compared to 43% of respondents overall. They answered that it is very important to them.
Breitbart News reports that Americans have faith and believe in heaven, angels, prayer, and a higher leadership, according to a July poll conducted by The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research. It is said that they are ethnic.
