Pooh Shiesty Faces Kidnapping Charges in Connection With Dispute Involving Gucci Mane’s Record Label

DALLAS (AP) – Criminal Charges Against Pooh Shiesty

On Thursday, federal prosecutors charged rapper Pooh Shiesty and eight others with committing robbery and kidnapping against three men in Texas earlier this year, following a contract disagreement tied to rapper Gucci Mane’s label.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office in Dallas has not disclosed the victim’s full name, referring to him only by initials. One of the victims, identified as RD, is reportedly the owner of Gucci Mane’s label, 1017 Records, and is believed to be Radrick Delantic Davis.

A representative for Gucci Mane did not respond to requests for comment.

According to a federal indictment filed in the Northern District of Texas, the incident took place on January 10 when the three victims arrived in Dallas for what they believed was a business meeting. Prosecutors allege that Pooh Shiesty, whose legal name is Lontrell Williams Jr., set up the meeting to negotiate his contract with 1017 Records.

Once the victims were in the studio, Pooh Shiesty allegedly displayed an AK-style pistol and coerced one victim into signing a release form related to their recording contract. The other defendants then brandished firearms and stole watches, jewelry, cash, and other possessions. Prosecutors also indicated that one victim was nearly asphyxiated.

Additionally, another defendant blocked the door with his body to prevent the victims from escaping.

Pooh Shiesty has not commented on the situation. At the time of the alleged incident in Texas, he was under home arrest due to a firearms conspiracy conviction in Florida.

Bradford Cohen, Pooh Shiesty’s attorney in that case, also did not respond to inquiries from the Associated Press.

In related news, the FBI in Memphis announced that they executed a court-ordered warrant at a residence in suburban Cordova, which property records show is owned by Pooh Shiesty.
