Popular comedian admits Trump is ‘very enticing’ compared to Dems who he says are not inspiring

Prominent comedian Andrew Schultz believes former President Donald Trump is a much more “appealing” presidential candidate in this election.

During a segment on “The Brilliant Idiots,” a podcast that Schultz co-hosts with African-American radio host Charlaman Tha God, the comedian offered his candid opinion of the former president and acknowledged that voting for Schultz was an appealing prospect, given the Democratic Party’s lack of more inspiring figures.

“He’s very fascinating. Incredibly fascinating. I find him fascinating because I think the Democratic Party has completely failed to inspire us in any way,” Schultz said on the podcast. Daily Caller.

The co-host went on to point out that Vice President Harris, the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, is struggling to grab the attention of voters.

“And that burden now falls on Kamala,” he said, mispronouncing her name, causing Charmagne to correct him mid-sentence. “Sorry, Kamala,” he continued, correcting himself.

He also criticised the party for selecting Harris as Biden’s successor as president despite not winning a primary election, saying “she is not a candidate through the democratic process”.

“So she has a huge burden to inspire,” he said, before again praising Trump, saying, “I think it’s good to see someone bucking the system, especially when they feel like the system has failed them.”

Charmagne, a Democrat who has publicly stated he will never vote for Trump because he considers the former president a “threat to democracy,” again interrupted Schultz with some skepticism.

When the moderator asked, “Is he still going against the establishment?” Schultz said that wasn’t the issue — it was just whether Trump appears to be going against the establishment.

“No, no, no, no. The question isn’t whether he is, but the perception that he is,” he said. “So if you’re disappointed in the pharmaceutical industry and he’s questioning that, you think, ‘Oh, that’s nice.’ If you’re disappointed in the military-industrial complex with all the wars we’re in and he says, ‘We’re going to stop these wars,’ you think, ‘Oh, that’s nice.'”

“If Kamala is president, the war will not stop,” Schultz said.

A podcast producer fired back from off-screen, asking Schultz if Trump is popular because Americans prefer entertainment over substance, to which Schultz clarified that voting for Trump is “tempting,” not necessarily something people should do.

“What I said is, he’s very attractive,” he explained, adding, “And the appeal comes from the fact that he’s criticizing these institutions that have let me down and that have let the American people down. So if he’s criticizing institutions that I’ve lost faith in, naturally I’m like, ‘OK, that’s awesome.'”

“And when other candidates aren’t critical of them either, I start to think, ‘Wait a minute, are you just a shill for these institutions that continue to fail the American people?'”

Schultz said he believes centrist American voters are at that point right now.
