“Jackie was quickly found by her husband Austin and taken to the emergency room where she underwent an emergency caesarean section and brain surgery at the same time,” they said.

They gave fans and loved ones the current status of James and the newborn baby they have yet to see with their own eyes.

“Twelve days after this incident, Jackie was in a medically-induced coma and underwent five separate brain surgeries,” they said.

“Jackie will be in the ICU for several weeks and will be hospitalized for many more months. The girl remained in the NICU after 12 days due to traumatic events at birth,” they wrote.

“Jackie’s husband and family have not left her since the incident. They are caring for the newborn in the ICU as they fight to keep Jackie alive,” her sister wrote.

“Had Jackie and the baby arrived at the hospital a few minutes late, they probably would have both died. We are optimistic that we will be able to overcome our difficulties by being surrounded by the right professionals and treatments,” they said.

Despite this situation, James’ family continues to hope for a positive outcome.

“It’s a long road, but we are committed to bringing Jackie back to her daughter and husband,” they said.

They are asking for a donation of $250,000 to help James heal.
