Popular Phillies fan criticized by 'SportsCenter' hosts after outburst

The incident involving a frustrated Phillies fan has started gaining traction on “Sports Center.”

During a segment called “So This Happened” on Friday, Nicole Brisco and Michael Eeves discussed a woman who snatched a home run ball from a young boy, identified by the Phillies as Lincoln, while Philadelphia played against the Marlins.

“Yeah, she chased him,” Briscoe remarked. “She was really upset. She keeps going on about how he invaded her space to get the ball, and then her dad is like, ‘If that means something to you.’

“Are you really a woman?” she yelled.

“I hate to use the term ‘Karen,’ but…” Brisco noted.

Brisco continued to explain how Mullins immediately stepped in to assist Lincoln after the altercation.

“Marlins staff went to the kids and gave him merchandise to help him exchange the ball,” she said.

The woman took the ball from the child’s father.

Eeves chimed in, expressing sympathy for the woman involved. “Wow, it must be tough for her,” he said.

“Yes, make her feel bad,” Brisco responded. “Because it’s just wrong. You took it from a kid.”

She also mentioned that Harrison Bader, who hit the home run that sparked the situation, later gave Lincoln a signed bat and ball.

The Marlins were quick to support Lincoln after the incident.

“That’s how you treat kids,” Brisco stated. “I don’t care who you are; you didn’t bring any kids with you, and this is about them.”

“If you don’t catch it, it’s just fair game,” Eeves replied.

A video emerged on Saturday capturing the exchange between the woman and Lincoln’s father, where she insisted that the ball rightfully belonged to her.

“It was mine,” she told her father. “You took it from me. It was in my hands.”
