Popular TikTok personality Tucker Jenal has passed away at just 31, as confirmed by his family and local authorities.
On Thursday, he died by suicide at his home in California, as reported by the Los Angeles Medical Examiner’s Office.
Jenal had amassed over 2.5 million followers on TikTok, gaining fame by participating in humorous challenges alongside his two brothers.
His brothers, Carson and Connor Jenal, shared the heart-wrenching news in emotional posts on Instagram this Monday.
Carson wrote, “I don’t even know where to start. You were not just my brother, but my best friend. I have always looked up to you and tried to follow in your footsteps, as you’ve always been my hero.”
He continued, “One thing for sure is that I will always admire you until we meet again. You were the kindest person I ever knew and the best brother anyone could wish for.”
In a statement, Tucker’s family requested privacy as they navigate this grief and begin to move forward without him.
Since the news broke, friends and fans expressed their condolences on social media, mourning his unexpected passing. “Tucker… where do I even start?… You were my best friend in the whole world. Five years ago, I was in a very dark place, and I didn’t think I could find a way out,” wrote his friend Sean Schutt in an Instagram tribute.
Schutt added, “You’ve inspired me. You brought light into my life that I didn’t know I had. You were the most selfless and kind person I’ve ever met.”
Jenal graduated from Furman University in 2018 with a degree in business administration and was also a wide receiver on the football team.
