Consumer health company Haleon announced Wednesday that some Robitussin products advertised to treat cough, flu and sore throat symptoms will be recalled nationwide due to microbial contamination.

With cold and flu season rapidly approaching, the recall could not come at a worse time.
Robitusin Honey CF Max Day and Max Night Cough Syrup in 4-oz and 8-oz bottles are affected by the recall, and the recalled items are not only available in October 2025, but also in May 2025 or 2026. It is scheduled to expire in June.”

Nevertheless, people who are not immunocompromised have little risk of developing the life-threatening symptoms listed above. However, according to the FDA, “the occurrence of infections that may require medical intervention cannot be completely ruled out.”
This recall only applies to the following lots.
