Post Malone Honors Late Marshawn Kneeland

Post Malone expressed his heartfelt tribute to the late Marshawn Kneeland during the halftime show of the Thanksgiving Cowboys-Chiefs game, following Kneeland’s tragic death by suicide on November 6.

As the Cowboys took a 17-14 lead, Malone addressed the enthusiastic crowd at AT&T Stadium, saying, “94 years old, I love you. I love you.” It was a touching moment, especially since he is a Cowboys fan.

He wore a blue jacket adorned with a prominent No. 94 pin, a nod to Kneeland, who proudly wore that number during his time with the Cowboys.

Malone concluded his performance of the song “I Had Some Help” with the tribute. Ultimately, the Cowboys secured a thrilling victory against the Chiefs, winning 31-28.

Sadly, Kneeland’s life ended in a tragic series of events. He was found deceased in a bathroom on a porch in Plano, Texas, after fleeing from police during what originally started as a regular traffic stop. The situation escalated rapidly when he drove at reckless speeds, reportedly reaching up to 145 mph, and eventually collided with another vehicle before escaping on foot.

In a concerning twist, his girlfriend, Catalina Mancera, had warned him that he was “armed” and could “end everything,” as recorded by police audio.

On November 23, a ceremony took place at AT&T Stadium to further honor Kneeland during a game against the Eagles. The Cowboys also wore helmet decals in his memory during that match.
