Powerball jackpot rises to $559M after no winner in March 11 drawing

With no player winning the grand prize in Monday night’s drawing, the Powerball jackpot ballooned to an estimated $559 million.

Monday night’s winning numbers were 1, 3, 7, 16, 66 and a red Powerball 5. The power play was 5x.

No one won the estimated $532 million Monday night, but one player from Virginia matched all five white balls and won $1 million.

The Grand Prize prize pool currently stands at an estimated $559 million, including one-time prizes. cash payment options 273.3 million dollars.

Winners typically choose their prize over the annuity option, which is paid out as one immediate payment followed by 29 annual payments.

The next draw will be held on Wednesday night. The draw takes place every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.

The last jackpot was won on January 1st, when a player in Michigan won $842.4 million. This was his 10th highest Powerball prize ever won.

Powerball is played in 45 states, as well as Washington, DC, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. More than half of the revenue from ticket sales remains in the jurisdiction where the ticket was sold, the game said.
