Win with Powerball!
A winning Powerball jackpot ticket worth $1.33 billion was sold in Oregon on Saturday night after “pre-drawing procedures” delayed the drawing for more than three hours.
The winning numbers were 22, 27, 44, 52, 69 and a red Powerball 9.
The lucky winning ticket holder can choose between a $1.33 billion prize payable over 29 years or a one-time lump sum of $608.9 million.
This victory was the fourth largest in the history of the game.
The jackpot result comes several days after one of the participating lotteries required “additional time to complete necessary pre-drawing procedures established to protect the security and integrity of the Powerball game.” I was late.
The drawing took place around 2:30 a.m. on Sunday instead of the usual 11 p.m.
The delay sparked some outrage on social media, with players speculating that there was fraud in the lottery.
The odds of winning the Powerball grand prize are an astronomical 1 in 292,201,338.
The last Powerball jackpot was won on January 1st at a supermarket in Michigan, marking the 40th consecutive no-win drawing.
A lucky Michigan Lottery player matched all six numbers exactly on the first day of the new year, winning the grand prize of $842 million.
The winner played at the Foodcastle grocery store in Grand Blanc, Michigan, and became the first person in the game’s history to win the Powerball jackpot on New Year’s Day.
This was the 8th largest jackpot in history at the time of the win.
