Pramila Jayapal Can't Stop Yelling at Kash Patel About Epstein Responses

Heated Exchange at House Judiciary Hearing

During a House Judiciary Committee hearing on Wednesday, Washington State Rep. Pramila Jayapal expressed her frustration while questioning FBI Director Kash Patel about the victims of the late Jeffrey Epstein.

A bipartisan group had previously held a press conference on September 3, which included ten Epstein victims. They demanded a Congressional vote to release all documents related to Epstein. At the hearing, Jayapal urged Patel to engage with these victims directly.

“Let’s have them talk about their experiences. They came to testify about their exploitation at such young ages. If you’re looking for public input, why haven’t you met them?” Jayapal pressed. “Have you ever interacted with them?”

Patel did not provide a direct response and seemed to deflect, prompting an even more passionate response from Jayapal.

“Does your answer hinge on whether you’ve met these women who suffered such trauma?” she demanded.

Jayapal continued, questioning Patel’s commitment to addressing allegations regarding powerful figures in relation to Epstein, while also highlighting a perceived lack of intervention during previous administrations. “What about during the Obama and Biden administrations? Why weren’t these victims consulted then?” she asked.

When Jayapal inquired if Epstein’s victims were deemed reliable, Patel’s response was again evasive, prompting her to repeat her question. “I’m addressing the evidence at hand; we’ve always been open to receiving more,” he claimed. “The information we have is what Biden’s and Obama’s Justice Departments also had, and they considered it unreliable.”

Jayapal insisted that Patel was not being forthcoming in his answers. “You might not like what I have to say,” Patel replied, asserting that he welcomed new information regarding the case.

The exchange continued with Jayapal demanding simpler answers, while Chairman Jim Jordan noted her time was up. Regardless, she kept pressing, questioning whether there was a cover-up involving powerful men.

In related developments, an Epstein victim told NBC News that he had not observed any inappropriate behavior from former President Donald Trump regarding the late pedophile. Additionally, the Oversight Committee released over 33,000 pages of documents tied to Epstein on September 2.
