Spencer Pratt Makes Controversial Claims Against LA Leaders

In a surprising turn of events, former reality television star and ex-Los Angeles mayoral candidate Spencer Pratt announced on Friday that he has damaging recordings that could lead to the resignation of either current Mayor Karen Bass or City Councilwoman Nithya Raman.

This bold claim emerged in a three-minute video shared on social media, marking Pratt’s first notable public statement since he finished third in the June 2nd primary election, thereby missing the chance to advance to November’s runoff.

Pratt’s campaign highlighted issues like systemic corruption and how the city managed the 2025 Palisades Fire disaster. With the campaign trail behind him, he says he’s now entering a more aggressive phase aimed at exposing malfeasance within city leadership.

“You think you can get rid of me that easily? I know some folks thought I was just in this for personal gain, that I’d leave if I didn’t get into City Hall… Look, I didn’t enter this race for political power. I’m here to unveil this corrupt system, and nothing’s changed. Enjoy your meaningless meetings at City Hall… I plan to shine a light on everything every single day. Now I’m free from the constraints of campaigning. It’s war!” Pratt stated in the video.

Directly addressing Bass and Raman, Pratt raised doubts about whether they could be sure no disgruntled staff member recorded them doing anything inappropriate. He expressed hope that they would lie awake at night, anxious about potential federal inquiries into their offices.

His warnings come in the wake of tension following the primary election, where Bass and Raman secured the top two spots. Controversy erupted during the vote-counting process as both social media users and conservative analysts pointed out alleged instances of voter fraud, especially when a vote update momentarily showed Pratt with zero votes out of a batch of 24,000.

While the Associated Press later labeled this as an “out-of-sync data reporting lag,” Pratt seized on the unrest post-election to ignite his new campaign against alleged corruption. He argued that stepping off the campaign trail allows him to escape campaign finance limits, which he plans to utilize in his pursuit of exposing unethical practices.

In a peculiar twist, shortly after releasing his video, Pratt linked a recent suspicious fire to his political endeavors. He disclosed to The California Post that a fire had erupted at his business, Pratt Daddy Crystals, located in Pacific Palisades.

The fire coincided with the timing of his video regarding Bass and Raman. The Los Angeles Fire Department’s Arson Unit has been notified, and an active investigation is currently ongoing.

“I want to be careful not to compromise an arson investigation, but this incident feels very suspicious,” Pratt remarked hours after his video hit the internet. “I’ll wait for investigators to release the facts, but this was no accident, especially with everything that has happened politically in the last two weeks. It definitely raises a lot of questions.”
