President Donald Trump has indicated he is considering the future of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).

During an interview with fox newsSean Hannity said Wednesday that President Trump plans to have a “big discussion soon” about the agency because he wants states to deal with their own issues.
The president also said that FEMA has not been doing its job and getting in the way for the past four years.
President Trump cited the agency's response to the devastating hurricanes that hit North Carolina last year.
“I love Oklahoma, but what do you know?” he asked. “If we get hit by a tornado or something, let Oklahoma fix it. …Then the federal government will help us with the money. FEMA is getting in the way of everything, and the Democrats are actually “We're not using FEMA to help North Carolina.”
The president is scheduled to visit North Carolina on Friday to monitor recovery efforts.
