President-elect Donald Trump announced Saturday that he has selected Kash Patel to be the next director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

I am proud to announce that Kashyap “Kash” Patel will be the next Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Kash is a brilliant lawyer, investigator, and “America First” fighter who has spent his career exposing corruption, upholding justice, and protecting the American people. He played a pivotal role in debunking Russia, Russia, Russia disinformation and served as a champion of truth, accountability, and the Constitution. Mr. Kash did an outstanding job during my first term, serving as Chief of Staff at the Department of Defense, Deputy Director of National Intelligence, and Senior Director of Counterterrorism on the National Security Council. Kash also tried over 60 jury trials. This FBI will end America's growing crime epidemic, dismantle immigrant criminal organizations, and stop the evil scourge of cross-border human and drug trafficking. Kash works for the great Attorney General Pam Bondi and restores loyalty, bravery, and integrity to the FBI.
