Caroline Levitt to Leave White House Press Secretary Role

Caroline Levitt, the White House Press Secretary, will depart her role at the end of this month, according to an announcement made by President Trump on Truth Social.

Trump stated that Levitt is stepping down to dedicate more time to her family and young children, but she will continue as an outside advisor. “Caroline Levitt, our incredible White House Press Secretary and one of my most trusted aides, will be leaving her position at the end of this month so she can spend more time with her beautiful young children and family. I completely understand and respect this decision!” he shared.

He further mentioned, “Caroline will now be one of my top outside advisors and an influential voice within the Republican Party as we defy history and work to decisively win midterm elections. She is a true leader in the White House and has done a phenomenal job fighting for justice, freedom, and liberty since 2018, including during her historic re-election campaign in 2024. Thank you, Caroline, for your hard work!”

In her own statement, Levitt expressed her gratitude for serving in this role over the past year and a half, describing it as an “honor and adventure of a lifetime.” Having recently given birth to her second child in July, she had just returned from maternity leave.

She reflected that since her return, she had felt torn between her duties as Press Secretary and being the best mother to her two young children. “That’s why I ultimately made the difficult decision to leave the White House and start a new chapter in my life,” she explained.
