As it turns out, there wasn’t much beauty behind the scenes of one famous movie filmed during the famed “Brat Pack” era.
Jon Cryer, who starred in the 1986 film “Pretty in Pink,” said he didn’t get along with co-star Andrew McCarthy off-camera. McCarthy will feature several members of the group, including Cryer, in his upcoming documentary, “Bratz,” which examines the importance of the “Brat Pack.”
McCarthy, along with other up-and-coming actors of the ’80s, including Cryer, Demi Moore and Rob Lowe, were part of the “Brat Pack,” a group of young actors who frequently appeared together in films like “The Breakfast Club” and “Sixteen Candles.”

“That’s just the way it is,” McCarthy acknowledged.

Their relationship wasn’t repaired until 2012, when McCarthy apologized during a backstage conversation on “The View.”
“It was a lovely moment,” Cryer said of the reunion, “but it was lovely because in that moment it was clear we were teenagers, but that doesn’t define who we are now, and it was really lovely. It was an immediate warm feeling.”
