Prince Andrew spent “several weeks” at Jeffrey Epstein's mansion in Palm Beach, Florida, where the disgraced royal received massages “every day,” the late financier's butler has claimed. Newly unsealed court documents.
Juan Alessi, who worked as Epstein's Florida housekeeper from 1991 to 2002, said in a 2009 deposition that the convicted madam, Ghislaine Maxwell, visited Epstein and his home. He named Andrew and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson as some of his celebrity “friends”.
Alessi said the Duke of York, who was dismissed from royal duties in 2019 over his association with a pedophile, was a frequent guest in the “guest bedroom” and regularly received massages.
“It's a daily massage. They get a massage every day,” Alessi said, according to a transcript of the deposition.
“Prince Andrew spent several weeks with us.”
Andrew would later be accused of having sexual relations with Epstein's self-proclaimed “sex slave” Virginia Giuffre when she was 17 years old in London, New York, and on Epstein's private island. Andrew denied the allegations, but settled with her in 2016. America.
Mr. Alessi said he believed Mr. Ferguson visited Mr. Epstein's Florida compound only once and only for a “short period of time.”
Alessi said she couldn't remember if Andrew received multiple massages a day and didn't know the nature of the behind-closed-doors moments.
“I think it was just a massage for him,” Alessi testified.
The massage allegation is just one of many allegations made against Prince Andrew since an avalanche of court documents relating to Epstein began to be gradually released on Wednesday.
This week's long-awaited document dump stems from a 2015 defamation lawsuit filed by accuser Giuffre against Maxwell, 61, which was subsequently settled.
A girl identified as Jane Doe 3 has accused the royal family of engaging in “orgies” with underage girls while on Epstein's private island in the Caribbean.
The filing also alleges that Epstein instructed his “sex slaves” to “give whatever the prince requested.”
Another Epstein accuser, Johanna Sjoberg, said in her deposition that Prince Andrew groped her breasts in 2001 while she was taking photos on a couch in Epstein's Manhattan townhouse.
In the same photo, Sjöberg testified that the royal groped Giuffre's breasts with a doll that resembled him.
Prince Andrew was removed from royal duties in 2019 over his relationship with Epstein.
Following the document's revelations, anti-monarchy group Republic reported Prince Andrew to the Metropolitan Police and demanded a reinvestigation.
“It's simple. The Royal Family should not be above the law. Accusations of crime should always be thoroughly investigated. That's why the Met must act,” the group posted on X. The Met has not commented on the request.
Both Prince Andrew and Buckingham Palace have repeatedly denied all allegations against him.
