Prince George Celebrates His 12th Birthday

Prince George has reached the age of 12!

Kate Middleton and Prince William marked their eldest son’s special day by sharing a new photograph, showcasing a young boy who resembles his father closely.

“Happy 12th birthday to Prince George!” they wrote, alongside a picture of him smiling outdoors in a button-down shirt and brown vest.

Another post included heartwarming footage of George playing with his younger siblings, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

“Today marks 12 years,” noted William and Kate, both 43, while sharing an inspiring video.

Born in July 2013, George has been a source of pride for the royal family.

Princess of Wales has often spoken about the “amazing” experience of giving birth to him, describing it at times as a “blur.” On a 2020 podcast episode, she expressed awe at the human body’s capabilities, saying, “How can the human body do that? It’s totally extraordinary.”

Further reflecting on his newborn phase, she recalled that it was one of the hottest days, accompanied by a thunderstorm, making sleep scarce. Yet, she mentioned that George was “really great.”

Kate and William later welcomed Charlotte and Louis in May 2015 and April 2018, respectively.

Last year, for George’s 11th birthday, Middleton captured a striking black-and-white portrait of him in a suit. Recently, she had to navigate difficult conversations with her children about her health after revealing her cancer diagnosis.

“It took me a while to explain everything to George, Charlotte, and Louis in a way that suited them and reassure them that I was fine,” she shared in a statement.

The couple frequently enjoys outings with their children, including a recent trip to Wimbledon. This year has seen Middleton making multiple public appearances with her kids, after successfully undergoing treatment and returning to her royal duties.
