Prince Harry almost kisses Stephen Colbert in a 'Late Show' skit

Finding true love can require a bit of a journey, or maybe a few missteps along the way.

In a surprising turn of events, Prince Harry made an appearance on “The Late Show” with Stephen Colbert Wednesday night, nearly expressing frustration with the host.

Colbert kicked off the show with segments poking fun at various holiday films where Americans end up falling in love with royalty.

Harry, who is now 41, walked on stage and humorously remarked that he thought he was auditioning for a movie called “The Gingerbread Prince Saves Nebraska Christmas.”

Colbert, 61, shared his fondness for holiday films but also noted that they tended to create unrealistic notions, suggesting that people might stumble upon a prince just while going about their everyday lives during the festive season.

After Colbert finished, Harry posed an amusing question about what a “real prince” would need to do to land a role in a Hallmark movie.

As the skit progressed, the backdrop morphed into a classic Christmas movie scene, complete with faux snow and evergreen trees.

Colbert then asked Harry if he had connections with any famous actresses. Harry quickly mentioned his wife, Meghan Markle, reminiscing how he “might know” her.

Harry jokingly suggested that he would do “anything” for a role, which included recording auditions and even settling any trivial lawsuits, mimicking the antics often seen on TV.

Colbert quipped back that they hadn’t done anything of the sort, to which Harry retorted with a lighthearted jab about that possibly being the reason behind their show’s cancellation.

In a playful moment later on, Harry and Colbert pretended to lean in for a kiss, emulating a scene from a rom-com.

While the skit unfolded, Harry also took a lighthearted jab at Donald Trump, joking that Americans had “elected a king,” which sparked boos from the audience.

Colbert eventually declared Harry the “official ‘Late Show’ Christmas Prince,” wrapping up their humorous exchange as the set continued to reflect the Christmas theme.
